North East Skills exhibition September 2017

Sixth form students visited North East Skills exhibition on Thursday 21st September.  The visit was arranged as part of the careers education curriculum to encourage students to find out about progression opportunities and to learn about different careers.

Students in Sixth form visited Liebherr to find out about their apprenticeship scheme and how their business operates.
We enjoyed a tour of the factory and workshops and learnt how huge cranes and other machines were manufactured using traditional and modern technology.
Sixth formers also visited Caterpillar to attend a Careers Fair and talked to colleges and learning providers about options for the future.
Gateshead College also visited to talk to Sixth form about Apprenticeships and on Tuesday 4th April we had a fantastic visit to Sun FM.

A group of students visited Sun FM for a tour of the radio station and to learn about how the radio
station works as a business.

We even managed to stay quiet during a live broadcast!
